LESTER PEARSON DEFENDS HIS SUEZ POLICY
In the lead up to the 1957 election, Pearson had to counter charges that he had betrayed the Mother Country in her hour of need by not supporting London’s desire to use force in Egypt. The Liberals would lose that June 1957 election.
